Mediterranean Cruise 2025 - Split

16th October, Thursday

We were able to walk off the ship to the middle of town.  It was a bit chilly this morning so Sue bought a woollen cardi, reduced to €10, which was just the job. 

We enjoyed wandering the ruins of the Diocletian’s Palace (free) before visiting the Split City Museum.  An interesting and very new museum that cost €10 pp.  The area is a mixture of ruins and restoration and very much lived in.  Amazing to stand where a palace was built in the 3rd century AD, and they are still excavating and finding treasures from different ancient civilizations.
