About us

Sue and David Clayton

We were both born and grew up on Auckland's North Shore, in New Zealand.  We got together 9th August 1985, after working together for a while,  and married on 6th February 1987 (Waitangi Day) in Auckland, New Zealand.​  In October of that year our son Gary was born and 3 years later in November we had a daughter, Jenna.  For the next five years David was a house-husband and looked after our children, while Sue continued to work as a marketing manager in cosmetics.

David then took up his studies at Auckland University and obtained his Bachelor of Education and Diploma of Teaching in December 1996 and began work again the following year.

 
For several years we had a goal to spend our 25th Wedding Anniversary in Paris, and we left Auckland on 14th January 2012 to begin the trip of our dreams.  We bought a motorhome in England and that was our home for the next couple of years. Go to our Travels to see where we went.

We are currently back in New Zealand, living in a beautiful seaside village at Mangawhai Heads.  We sold our motorhome "Homer" but we still have a motorhome, and go away often for short holidays.
